*The asterisked (*) provisions in each division are for those leagues/associations that carry “older but lighter” football players. The age of the spirit participant may match the age of the football players in that same division. (i.e., if the league permits a football player to be a 13 year old, older-lighter junior midget, then the spirit squad may also sign-up a 13 year old participant on the corresponding cheer/dance squad.) The spirit participant is matched in age only, weights do not apply.

Attendance Policy
- A minimum of 20 hours of conditioning is required before having a “non-medical” absence.
- Cheerleaders will then be allowed three “non-medical” absences during the month of August.
- Further absences may jeopardize a participant's in important sideline formations and half time routines.
- Attendance is mandatory. Children must attend all practices, games and other activities. Parents are required to phone the Head Coach in advance if their child will miss a practice, a game, or a competition. Excused absences include but are not limited to illness, injury, serious illness or death in family, or a conflict with religious holidays or education.
- Players who attend practice, but are unable to participate in the majority of the drills will be considered absent. Absences will be monitored and dismissal from the squad could occur if the child exceeds the limit.
Cheerleaders must attend all pep rallies, exhibition games and scheduled games. All squads are required by Jersey Shore Pop Warner to cheer at all games regardless of weather. If the Football Team plays, the Cheerleaders cheer.
Volunteer Participation
- Each household is required to work the Snack Stand and Game Day volunteer duties, as scheduled by the Team Mom for each team. Families with participants on multiple teams will be responsible for volunteer duties in support of each team.
